IFA Congress approved new IFA statutes and elected new Board of Directors
The IFA Congress at the location of the ongoing IFA 2015 Fistball World Championships in Cordoba (Argentina) approved unanimously the new IFA Statutes including a new structure of the governing bodies. As new members of the Board are elected as President Karl Weiss (AUT), as Secretary General Jörn Verleger (GER), as Vice President Carlos Hexel (BRA), as Treasurer Franz Peter Iten (SUI), as Chair of the Sports Commission Winfried Kronsteiner (AUT) and as further members of the Board Roger Willen (SUI), Alwin Oberkersch (GER), Franco Giori (SUI) as chair of the European Fistball Association, Dr. Giana Hexsel (BRA) as chair of the Medical and Anti-Doping Commission and Tricia Groeber (USA) as chair of the IFA Athletes’ Commission.

Official Statement – Media Problems Worldchampionship Argentina
We received many messages and comments from you, regarding livestream, live-ticker and media communication from the World Cup in Argentina. We know that you are used to modern standards but in the Argentinean mountains things are working out a little bit different. There is no livestream from the games in the preliminary round because they simply don’t have an internet connection that is fast enough for streaming (nowhere in the whole town) except for Villa General Belgrano. The infrastructure provided by the hosting partner is not satisfying, for example in Embalse the closest WiFi-hotspot is 400m away from the pitch up on a hill. We are very sorry that we cannot fulfil your expectations but things are not working as appointed with the Argentineans despite they ensured a working infrastructure needed for proper media work just 6 weeks ago.
But there are also good news for all the fans out there. The organising committee confirmed today that also the games on 19th of November that were moved from Cumbrecita to Villa General Belgrano will be broadcasted live via the internet.

Wir haben sehr viele Nachrichten und Kommentare von euch erhalten, betreffend Livestream, Live-Ticker und Medieninfos von der WM in Argentinien. Wir wissen dass viele von euch moderne Standards gewöhnt sind aber in den argentinischen Bergen ist vieles anders. Es gibt in der Vorrunde keinen Livestream von den Spielen, weil es einfach keine Internetverbindung gibt die schnell genug dafür wäre (nirgendwo in der ganzen Stadt), außer in Villa General Belgrano. Die Infrastruktur die vom Veranstalter zur Verfügung gestellt wird ist nicht zufriedenstellend, zum Beispiel sind es in Embalse 400m und eine Bergwertung bis zum nächsten WLAN Hotspot. Es tut uns sehr leid, dass wir eure Erwartungen nicht erfüllen können, aber die Bedingungen sind nicht wie im Vorfeld vereinbart, obwohl uns bei der letzten Visite vor 6 Wochen eine benutzbare Infrastruktur für ordentliche Medienarbeit vom Veranstalter zugesichert wurde.
Es gibt aber auch gute Nachrichten für alle Fans. Die Veranstalter haben uns heute bestätigt, dass die Spiele am Donnertag den 19. November die von Cumbrecita nach Villa General Belgrano verlegt wurden auch im Internet live gestreamt werden.
