The new elected IFA Athletes’ Commission with members of the IFA Board of Directors

The IFA Congress dated 18 November 2015 in Cordoba (ARG) has decided to establish an IFA
Athletes’ Commission. The Chair of the Athletes’ Commission is member of the Board of Directors including a voting right.

The members of the Athletes’ Commission are elected by the athletes present at the IFA World Championships (men and women). Each athlete has one vote.

110 out of 127 athletes took part (= 87 %) in the election during the IFA World Championship in Cordoba (ARG).

Elected by the athletes present at the IFA World Championships in Cordoba (ARG) are:

– Rolf Petersen (Australia)
– Eric Kindler (USA)
– Klemens Kronsteiner (AUT)
– Fabian Marthy (SUI)
– Nick Trinemeier (GER)

The Athletes’ Commission will be composed until the IFA Women World Championship 2016 by 4 male and 2 female athletes.

Until the IFA Women World Championship 2019 the Board of Directors approved as female representatives of the Athletes’ Commission:

– Tricia Groeber (USA)
– Catalina De La Cruz Macias (COL)

Chairwomen of the Athletes’ Commission will be Tricia Groeber (USA).

The IFA Congress at the location of the ongoing IFA 2015 Fistball World Championships in Cordoba (Argentina) approved unanimously the new IFA Statutes including a new structure of the governing bodies. As new members of the Board are elected as President Karl Weiss (AUT), as Secretary General Jörn Verleger (GER), as Vice President Carlos Hexel (BRA), as Treasurer Franz Peter Iten (SUI), as Chair of the Sports Commission Winfried Kronsteiner (AUT) and as further members of the Board Roger Willen (SUI), Alwin Oberkersch (GER), Franco Giori (SUI) as chair of the European Fistball Association, Dr. Giana Hexsel (BRA) as chair of the Medical and Anti-Doping Commission and Tricia Groeber (USA) as chair of the IFA Athletes’ Commission.
